“Crevice” is an anthropomorphic expression of corporeal freedom that largely resembles an armpit. From the depths of its most cavernous face emerges a cluster of copper wire hairs growing outwards and upwards.

Shadow Puppet (Wolf) (2023)

Shadows are echoes of forms–echoes of ourselves. When presented with light at night, shadows can either instill fear within us or keep us entertained. For this series, I decided to use shadow to determine how finished my carving was, and to play with the uncanny valley that forms when shadows can be mistaken for something real and living.
